1. A good big bubble mix.
Many big bubble recipes use Dawn or JOY dishwashing liquid. Start with 9 cups of water, 1 cup of Dawn or Joy and 4 ounces of glycerin. If you can’t find glycerin at the drug store, try substituting corn syrup.

2. Let your mix “Age” overnight.
Big bubble solutions work very well right after mixing, and work even better when left to age overnight. Remove any foam from the surface of your big bubble solution. Big bubbles do not like foam.
3. Additives.
One or two tablespoons of baking soda or ethyl cellulose or methyl cellulose can improve performance. You can find cellulose products in many household items like food products, personal care products and personal lubricants.
4. Good, clean water.
With improvements made in major brands of dishwashing liquids purified water is no longer essential. Common, ordinary tap water tends to work just as well.
